This is my first time joining Frizztext’s “A-Z Archive” photo challenge. Here is my interpretation for the letter H: Hiding. We saw this crocodile along the Chobe River in Botswana. Not only was he hard to spot since he blended in with the grass, I thought it was cute that his head was behind the little green weed, like he was hiding.

That is really cute! He looks like he’s grinning
I know! I was still terrified of him, but I also thought he was pretty darn cute.
Haha, ‘cute’ and ‘crocodile’ in the same sentence, didn’t expect that
his tail is impressive though!
tell him, whisper in his ears, the little green weed is not big enough!
thank you for joining our “A-Z Archive”!

What a great picture!!! I love it! Kind of hard to hide in that environment, though!!!
That is true, but I won’t tell him that!
Good idea…he might get a little snappy with you!
I think his snap would be the end of me.
Definitely would not want to play peek-a-boo with him.
That would be funny to watch, until someone got hurt.
I love these guys! Great image!
They are fascinating creatures! Prehistoric and terrifying.
Not the kind of animal I’d want to meet on my walks.
I couldn’t even imagine the fear that would stir in me.
A master of disguise – don´t think I would have spotted him if you hadn´t pointed him out
I’m sure he is counting on that!
Cute. I like the weed hiding him.
I don’t know about your little dog, but our bigger little dog definitely thinks he can hide behind a little twig like that, too. He is smaller than an croc, though.
I would love to see your dog hiding. Animals are funny. Miles doesn’t try to hide at all. He’s always out trying to get attention from anything that moves. Our cat will hide or at least try to.
Yea, they’re a riot. He gets down in the freshly mowed, 2-in-tall grass and flattens himself and we just laugh… I’ll see if I can get a picture for you someday but I’m not the photog you are
Atticus, our cat, will do that when he is “hunting.” Then he wiggles his butt and I laugh and he gets upset because I ruined his chances. Even though, he really doesn’t have a chance. I would love to see some photos of your little guy!
Perfect photo for Hiding!
The croco looks like he s smiling “He he, stupid humans won’t see me behind the green weed!”
Yes…his smile gives me the same impression!
He is sleeping dear TBM…
I couldn’t have taken his picture… You did great. Thank you, with my love, nia
I was sitting in a boat when I took this picture so I felt pretty safe. But he is an intimidating creature.
You also mean, nothing could stay hidden…
Philosophical touches there is as if in this photograph… or an irony by mention the title…
cute and deadly…what a combo
LOL…so many creatures are!
Awesome! He probably thinks he is being really smart by hiding behind that weed! Great shot for the challenge.
I would love to know what is going on in his mind. I bet he didn’t even notice us or care about us.

Cute but scary!
Yes he is!
I try to convince myself they are cute but …
I know…but he is amazing.

He almost looks fake! I have to say, I’ve never seen such a shiny looking croc in Australia!
This was the first time I’ve seen crocodiles in the wild…I’ve only seen them in the zoos. He was in the morning sun so that may be why he looks shiny.
Oh dear, those scales are scary!
They are!
Awesome photo! I love crocodiles and alligators! They are just such cool creatures.
They are fascinating creatures…but they do scare me.
Plenty of Hide there for some shoes and handbags
Not sure who he’s waiting for behind that grass! Nice shot.
We didn’t stick around to see who was his victim…Thanks!
yaikes! Aren’t they dangerous even out of water? Great picture! Animals are incredible in their ability to camouflage themselves well!
I don’t know if they are dangerous out of the water…I didn’t stick around to find out. But my guess would be that yes they are. So many animals have wonderful camouflage.
“If I can’t see you, you can’t see me” eh?
