Travel Photo of the Day (March 23)

You may not notice the lion in this photo. She just gorged on a zebra and her belly was full. We didn't see the kill thank goodness, but I did see the zebra after the kill. I won't show that picture.

  1. Boy, she is well hidden. I had to enlarge the photo quite a bit to even find her. That’s how I feel after a big meal. 🙂
(Thanks for not showing the zebra!)

I’ve had to lay down after a few meals as well. I’m really relieved that no one wants to see the zebra. I thought someone would ask and I would have to decline. The entire time our group was observing it I was pretending to be fascinated by a bird in a tree. I looked once and that was enough for me.

In camo mode for a snooze, one of the most deadly modes for both large cats, house dogs, and small cats. We use to have this solid black chow mix (Eclipse) who would go into stealth snooze mode at night on the dark rug. I stepped on the poor dude one night and had a nice bruise to the temple for toppling over him. Sigh. I miss that dog.

OH you poor things. I’m sorry about your loss. Animals bring us so much joy and love that when they go it’s never easy. No matter how much time passes.

I had to view in full screen to find it. Hubby had a hard time finding it even then. Thanks for sparing us the zebra. 😉

Yep, I never would have noticed that lion if you hadn’t mentioned the fact it was lying there in the shade.
    Lynn 😀

I love cats. However I don’t think I’d curl up with this big fella. Wouldn’t want to be his…next meal. 😦

  8. I don’t think I would have noticed the lion if you hadn’t mentioned it. Wow. What a good shot!

Cool photo! I’d be glad that her belly was full if I encountered her. It’s less likely she would be tempted to have me for lunch!
